Two years ago, I was given the challenge to produce a Picasso-esque Xmas card…so, of course, I went straight to “Guernica” (see comment)…the woman on the very left in Guernica is holding her dead child (he’s looking down), and wailing with despair…my “colorized” version has the baby looking up, and with a halo!…the Virgin still wails with despair, knowing what the world does to the pure.
